Title:
ia32 packages missing on amd64
Status in lsb package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Binary package hint: lsb
In a nutshell, this doesn't work on a 64-bit system:
# apt-get install lsb-graphics-ia32
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Couldn't find package lsb-graphics-ia32
ia32-libs satisfies most (all?) dependencies, so that's a workaround.
Proper LSB packages are still desirable though as that means that you
can give the same instructions to users regardless of their system's
arch, and lsb_release will be able to properly report support for
graphics-ia32 even on 64-bit systems.
I tested this on Ubunut 10.04, but from what I can tell this has been
the same for all releases.
