Title:
  Single channel sound test buttons should be independent of balance
  settings

Bug description:
  - Click on the sound icon on the top-right corner of the screen
  - select Sound Settings
  - Move the "balance" slider all the way to the left
  - click the "test sound" button
  => another window appears, where there is a "test" button for the left channel and one for the right channel
  - click on the "test" button for the right channel

  Expected result:
  you should hear the test sound from the right speaker, because this test should bypass the balance setting. This should be a lower-level test independent of balance settings.

  Observed result:
  you hear nothing because the balance is set all way to the left and you're testing a sound on the right.
