[Bug 1405094] Re: Laptop screen stops working when HDMI screen is connected at boot

** Summary changed:

- Laptop screen stops working when DVI screen is connected at boot
+ Laptop screen stops working when HDMI screen is connected at boot

** Description changed:

This problem is new with 14.10, did not exist with 14.04

  What i do to reproduce:

  Turn laptop off
- Connect a screen via DVI
+ Connect a screen via HDMI
  Turn computer on

  What happens:

Laptop screen stops working as soon as the OS begins to boot
- Once i login, it's clear that the OS thinks that the screen is working, since i can move my mouse into the area of that screen and move it around there. I can drag windows there and if i can grab them afterwards, i can move them back into the visible DVI screen.
- Disconnecting DVI screen does *not* turn on the Laptop screen
- The only way to get laptop screen to work is to boot and login without DVI and connect it only afterwards.

When booting with two screens, both should work with the settings in
  place.
