I using ubuntu 14.04 (not 14.04.1). My unity's launcher crash after
html5 web page loads, too. In 12.04  was no problem.

  Unity's launcher and menu weird appearance image attach.

  using google chromium, enter chrome.angrybirds.com and wait a few seconds. Then it happens.
  I run in terminal the following command "unity --replace" and then I go to the same page and the error I get is:

  Failed to open VDPAU backend libvdpau_nvidia.so: no se puede abrir el
  fichero del objeto compartido: No existe el fichero o el directorio

  Then, the launcher is weird again.
