Message #45009
[Bug 1330239] Re: "Activated service 'org.freedesktop.ModemManager1' failed: Cannot launch daemon, file not found or permissions invalid" showed in syslog in Ubuntu 14.04
I found that this message generated because I manually disabled the
modemmanager Upstart service, which isn't a bug since NetworkManager
needs it anyway.
The motivation of disabling this service is that it's starts no matter
if there's modem connected and it abnormally generates redundant
"restart" messages during system shutdown, if anyone have concern of
this issue please file a new bug.
