Attached debdiff between trusty-updates and SRU.
** Description changed:
+ [ Impact ]
+
1. Open one nautilus window and another window, so that nautilus is not focused
- 2. Open the dash File lens (Super+F)
- 3. Start dragging a file from that to the nautilus launcher icon
- 4. Wait some delay
+ 2. Open the dash File lens (Super+F)
+ 3. Start dragging a file from that to the nautilus launcher icon
+ 4. Wait some delay
Expected Result:
- 4. The dash is closed and nautilus window is focused
+ 4. The dash is closed and nautilus window is focused
Actual result:
- 4. The nautilus window is focused, but the dash is not closed
+ 4. The nautilus window is focused, but the dash is not closed
+
+ [ Test Case ]
+
+ See above.
+
+ [ Regression Potential ]
+
+ Any code change in Unity has the potential to introduce crashes in
+ Unity.
+
+ This particular fix has the potential to not close the dash after a
+ drag-and-drop operation, which could conceivably result in a desktop
+ lock-up requiring a restart.
+
+ [ Other Info ]
+
+ The Ubuntu 14.04 LTS SRU fix was cherry-picked from Ubuntu 14.10 where
+ it has been in production use for some time without apparent regression.
