Title:
Trying to type into the address bar during page load results in
appending instead of replacing
Status in Web Browser App:
Confirmed
Status in webbrowser-app package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Related to bug #1369397, as when I load the browser I usually want to
type a different address than I had previously.
Steps:
* change to a 2G connection to reproduce this more easily
* load a web page in the browser
* close the browser
* open the browser again
* tap in the address bar and start typing as soon as possible
Expected:
* page loads, but the address bar holds only the typed characters
Current:
* the address bar is reset to contain the (address? just the hostname?)
* typed characters are appended to the above instead of replacing it
The address bar should never change contents if it has keyboard focus.
