[Bug 1355995] Re: sound plays on speakers even when sound indicator is set to zero

 

There is something fishy ongoing indeed. It seems there are multiple
states involved that are not properly resolved: music playing state has
different volume level than music paused. When music is playing
indicator displays e.g. two volume bars, when pressing the pause button
it switches back to e.g. 0 bars, resume playing and the indicator
displays two bars again.

  Steps:

  1. Turn sound via sound indicator to zero
  2. Open the music app and start playing a song

  Result:
  the song plays

  Expected:
  You cannot hear the song

  Note that if you adjust the volume via the hardware buttons, the
  indicator visibly changes, but the volume does not.
