[Bug 1086375] Re: Window closes automatically when switching to another app
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to
look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many
changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem
may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if
you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test
it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running
apport-collect <bug #> and any other logs that are relevant for this
particular issue.

Title:
Window closes automatically when switching to another app
Status in Unity:
Incomplete
Status in unity package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Sometimes, when switching from the currently active app to another app
(via Alt+Tab), the previous window is closed automatically by the
operation system, and I can't get it back even though the process
stays alive, which makes me have to kill the current process in order
to get the app running appropriately again.
This is one of the instances of this problem, that happened to me:
1. I was working with a text file in geany;
2. Switched to WingIDE, via Alt+Tab;
3. Held Alt and hit Tab to go back to the geany window, and it was gone, not even in the sidebar
Thanks,
Diogo
