Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to
look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many
changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem
may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if
you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test
it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running
apport-collect <bug #> and any other logs that are relevant for this
particular issue.

Title:
  Ubuntu crashes every time on window switch

Bug description:
  I am running Ubuntu Unity 13.04 now, and every time I switch between two windows the entire desktop freezes, no mouse, no interaction, just a static screen. This occurs every time I am running two higher end applications, such as Firefox and Skype or Steam or other games, and I never was able to avoid it once. I have had the same problem switching to Gnome Fallback. This was not a problem in Linux Mint Nadia or in Windows 8, so it is possible for my computer to run these things at all.
