[Bug 1417789] Re: [W740SU, VIA VT1802, Mic, Internal] mostly no sound at al
try record stereo instead of mono using audacity and check whether left
and right channel out of phase,
try mute one channel using alsa mixer or hda analyzer

Title:
[W740SU, VIA VT1802, Mic, Internal] mostly no sound at al
Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
Mostly I get no sound at all when using the internal mic.
Using sound setting recording level slider I am able to get some (noisy sound).
With alsamixer I can get (also noisy) recordings by lowering "Internal Mic Boost"
I have applied (and removed)
oem-audio-hda-daily-dkms_0.201502011331~ubuntu14.10.1_all.deb
options snd-hda-intel position_fix=1
options snd-hda-intel position_fix=2
