[Bug 1393164] Re: package libopenal1:amd64 1:1.14-4ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: package is in a very bad inconsistent state; you should reinstall it before attempting configuration

 

There are non-trivial changes between precise's (1.14) and trusty's
(1.15) versions of libopenal-soft.

If you don't need it, no worries. If you do need it, just re-install it.
