Title:
mediascanner will fail quietly on some videos but then display them in
the scope after a reboot
Status in mediascanner package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
See bug :1365562
The scanner will report an error of the form:
[Err, h264_dec_init] Fail to open Vdec Drv H264 instance! -11
[Err] Error code -10
[Err, h264_dec_deInit] Invalid input argument
[Err] Error code -1
Error when adding new file: Unable to discover file /home/phablet/Videos/H264_500_AAC_128.3gp
and no video will appear in the video scope. After a reboot the video
is shown but is not playable since playback results in the same
error.
Would be good to
1) display an error to the user that the video is not supported after the user added it to /Videos (or when sd card inserted?)
2) do not show it in the scope
