Bug description:
If the emoji keyboard is installed (we are adding it as a default), we
should automatically toggle between the emoji layout and the previous
layout when tapping on the globe menu. Currently we only toggle out of
the emoji layout back to the default layout when pressing the globe
but don't toggle back to the emoji layout when clicking from the
default layout. This makes it very tedious if you are typing a message
and switching between layouts as you always have to press the globe,
and then press Emoji from the menu.
Currently single tap displays the menu with the settings, etc, but I
think it would be better to only do this on a long press. It is how
iOS works
Steps to reproduce:
- enable emoji keyboard if not on (in system settings)
- launch messaging app
- start typing a message
- click the globe
Expected results:
- switch to emoji layout immediately
Actual results:
- menu displayed, have to pick Emoji layout
- start typing emojis
- click the globe again
- we are correctly switched back to the previous layout
- type some more
- now click the globe again for more emojis
menu displayed, have to pick Emoji layout from there.
