#down-bios an update to your computer's buggy and outdated BIOS is
available (1.4). If you update to this following
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BIOSUpdate does it change anything?

If it doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date

  Ubuntu 14.04 LTS freeze randomly

  there is not a clue when or due to what is happening the crash or hang out of 3 different pc with same version of ubuntu. Our main job is concerning the usage of PCs for computational analysis. The problems seesm to occur not during our work which requires to use large part of the memory but instead randomly.
