[Bug 1424724] Re: package udev 204-5ubuntu20.10 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 139

I'm afraid we need a proper crash report here. Presumably "udevadm hwdb
--update" crashed, can you reproduce that crash somehow? I. e. if you
run "sudo apt-get install -f", does it try to install/configure some
packages, and you get that crash again? If not, does "sudo apt-get
install --reinstall udev" reproduce it? Do you have any *.crash files in
/var/crash/ which sound related? If so, can you please attach one here?

installed post-installation script returned error exit status 139

Status in systemd package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
System stopped responding. After a hard reboot, several devices were
  not detected.

Hardware detection seems to work on issuing "udevadm.upgrade hwdb
  --update" manually.
