Title:
retracer should remove architecture specific tag
Status in apport package in Ubuntu:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
Binary package hint: apport
I believe that the tags i386, amd64 et al were designed to identify
bug reports that may be specific to a particular architecture. It
seems to me that if the retracer marks a bug tagged i386 as a
duplicate of a bug tagged armel that the crash is not architecture
specific. In which case it'd be helpful for the retracer to remove
the architecture tag from the duplicate and the master.
As an example one could look at bug 571950 and the bug it is a
duplicate of bug 570804 - which I already removed the armel tag from.
