I cannot reproduce exactly the reported issue but I did find I could
drag the search history down and detach it from the search field as in
the pic

Everything else seems to work fine however

Bug description:
  Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to Today scope
  2. Tap on search icon and then search field
  3. Enter some search term, and repeat it few times so that you have few items in search history
  4. Now tap on search field again
  5. Tap on small arrow connecting the history dialog to search field

  Observe that dialog will move to middle of screen as seen in
  attachment ==> today-search-history.png

  6. Now try tapping few times on search field and you will see the
  history dialog would appear obscured as seen in attachment ==> today-
  search-history2.png

  7. Tap on search field and press and hold to open the copy paste
  option

  Observe that copy paste dialog is hidden as seen in attachment ==>
  today-search-hidden-copy-paste.png
