Title:
  No sound is recorded

Status in alsa-driver package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  I use "Sound Recorder" to record via microphone, the recording process
  looks normal, but when played there is no sound heard. No problem
  playing an existing .wav file.
