Title:
can't connect to a wep 128-bit passphrase router using moblin remix
  9.10

Status in network-manager package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: network-manager-gnome

I just bought a Inspiron mini laptop from Dell. It comes with ubuntu
  moblin remix 9.10 preinstalled.

From ubuntu 9.10, I can connect to my router using network-manager-
gnome. I choose the option "WEP 128-bit passphrase" and it lets me
type in my passphrase. From the network manager in moblin remix
9.10, there no WEP 128-bit passphrase option, just a WEP/WPA dropdown
box. I tried WEP and entered the passphrase. It didn't work. I
tried converting the passphrase into hex. That didn't work. I tried
s:passphrase to see if maybe it would work. It didn't.

I tried sudo apt-get install network-manager-gnome and it installed.
I then tried to open the gnome network manager. It gave some error
  messages:

  $nm-applet
libnotify-Message: GetServerInformation call failed: Too few arguments in reply
  libnotify-Message: Error getting spec version

  ** (nm-applet:2626): WARNING **: get_all_cb: couldn't retrieve system

  ** (nm-applet:2626): WARNING **: fetch_connections_done: error

  For reference:
  $ sudo apt-cache policy network-manager-gnome
