Window tiling functions are not working properly (video attached)

Bug description:
  Hello,

I came across some bugs in window tiling features in Unity 6.10 on Ubuntu 12.10. When I press Ctrl + Alt + 8 the terminal window is placed in the upper half of the screen which is fine. However, if I press Ctrl + Alt + 5 to make it maximize the title bar disappears.
Similarly, when I press Ctrl + Alt + 2 to place the window in the bottom half of the screen and then try to make it maximized the title bar disappears but the window does not maximize. Moreover, it does not stretch to screen's maximal width and it pops up in every workspace. You can see this behaviour in a video I uploaded:

  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqwiLWhdYK4

At 0:25 you can also see that the window spans for more than one
workspace which is not what I intended at all.

This is my first bug report so if I did something wrong accept my
  apologies.
