The user shouldn't be able to close the dash. dash should never be
closed. And if for some reason dash crashes (and therefore gets
estarted) that's an abnormal situation anyway, so it's expected that it
doesn't look pretty.

Did you close the dash using the UI?

  close all applications make the background become a black page

Status in unity8 package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  when i close the dash,  the background turns  black  before dash
  restart. and if the dash can't restart anymore, the background keep a
  black page until i open another application.
