Title:
apparmor is shutting down syslog - and why ?
Status in rsyslog package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
here is Ubuntu 12.10 resp. pear OS 7.0.1 with rsyslogd 5.8.6 and
kernel 3.10-RC4 :
( since update to kernel 3.10-RC4 - date and time are not shown in
syslog any more while scrolling - only now stopped by apparmor - then
date and time are shown ? )
obviously apparmor is shutting down rsyslogd - and then syslog stops
to protocol and stops to scroll on.
here is output of syslog yesterday, when rsyslogd resp. syslog crashed
( as so often ) :
pluto cracklib: no dictionary update necessary.
