Sherif, anything which actually explains what this bug report is about
is useful. Right now it's not actionable at all, I'm afraid. If you have
an installation which fails to start a display manager, I need the
information from comment #10.

Bug description:
  After updating all packages, I can't boot by choosing Ubuntu in the bootloader anymore. Kubuntu logo remains until the terminal shows, "Starting version 219".
  I can boot successfully by choosing Ubuntu...(Updstart).
