Chris Giltnane, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu
better. As per http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-
netbooks/lenovo-g-series-laptops/g50-70-notebook-lenovo an update to
your computer's buggy and outdated BIOS is available (30). If you update
to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BIOSUpdate does it
change anything?

If it doesn't, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date

posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful. As well, you don't

Title:
  Ittermittantly left mouse button stops on all attached mice

Status in xorg package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Raising this defect whilst mouse is working and will update as soon as
  soon as it happens again. I have xdiagnose installed. when the problem
  occurs both track pad and attached usb mouse keys stop working. If
  your on the desktop it gives the appearance of the mouse key
  permanently being  held down rather than not registering the click, as
  the cursor seem to be doing the select area indication.
