[Bug 553533] Re: ubuntu-bug asks questions then exits
> status: New → Invalid
> Outdated version
"We believe this issue has been fixed in current versions of apport.
Please create a new report, should you still be experiencing it." would
have been more polite.
Adding "Sorry for ignoring this report for five years." would have been
even better.

Title:
ubuntu-bug asks questions then exits
Status in apport package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Binary package hint: apport
When executing "ubuntu-bug" or "apport-bug" on the console, it starts to ask questions.
1) I select "other problem".
2) Apports opens another window "collecting problem information"
3) In the next question window I select "other display-related problem"
4) Apport exits
Additionaly it logs
"""
/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/lazr/restfulclient/__init__.py:19: UserWarning: Module launchpadlib was already imported from /usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/launchpadlib/__init__.py, but /usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6 is being added to sys.path
import pkg_resources
"""
*before* asking the questions.
I'd expect something useful to happen instead of step 4 above. E.g.
asking which package is affected, opening bugs.launchpad.net with the
already given information filled into a bugreporting for, something
like that.
