Title:
Extremely long lines of text appear corrupted in text-editing
applications
Status in xorg package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
A very long line of text (total file size approximately 757kb) will
not be able to be displayed correctly using GUI-based programs.
Attached is a picture of the file open in gedit. Just as a test, I
opened the same file in MonoDevelop, and the same corruption occurred.
However, if I read the file using the command-line cat, the file
displays perfectly fine in the terminal window.
I expected the file to display normally in the window.
