journalctl -b just says "No journal files were found." when booted
successfully with the upstart. I'm unaware where or when I should type
this to get the output you need.

  Upgrading Kubuntu 14.10 to 15.04 boots to console (fails due to read-

Status in systemd package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  After upgrading from Kubuntu 14.10 to 15.04 (final) booting fails.
  Only console greets me. Lots of errors "read-only file system". I can
  see my files with ls. But nothing works.

  Selecting the upstart boot from the additional boot options boots
  normally.
