[Bug 1449214] Re: PPA signing key not recognized

So it seems, Brian. Thanks!

In my Vivid installation I switched to utopic:

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/gunnarhj/misc/ubuntu utopic main

Then I could successfully install the utopic package without any
complaints. So I made a no-change rebuild of the vivid package, and now
evertything seems to work.

I don't know what caused the problem. The only thing I can tell is that
the previous version of the vivid package was the first build ever in
the PPA.

@Joakim: Can you make a new attempt? If it works for you, I'm inclined
to simply close this bug report.

Title:
  PPA signing key not recognized

Status in apt package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Added a PPA with add-apt-repository, and the public key seemed to be
successfully imported. The key file does exist, and its path is:

  /etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/ubuntu-se_ubuntu_netid.gpg

However, when trying to install a package from the PPA with apt-get, I
got the warning message "The following packages cannot be
  authenticated!"

This happened in vivid. In utopic I can successfully install from the
same PPA, and with the same public key, so the issue seems to be vivid
  specific.

Attached please find the related terminal output.
