Bug description:
  Upgrading server from 10.04 to 10.10 per the instructions using do-
  release-upgrade. Got an illegal instruction installing libc6:

  Could not install the upgrades

  The upgrade has aborted. Your system could be in an unusable state. A
  recovery will run now (dpkg --configure -a).

  dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of libnih1:
   libnih1 depends on libc6 (>>  2.12); however:
    Package libc6 is not installed.
   libnih1 depends on libc6 (<<  2.13); however:
    Package libc6 is not installed.
  dpkg: error processing libnih1 (--configure):
   dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
  dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of libnih-dbus1:
