Bug description:
  I am trying to reload Ubuntu 11.04 from a disk. There have been a
  number of errors and then I was offered the chance to opt for 11.10 as
  a download. This has now failed to load, at least partially. I suspect
  that there are hardware problems and it may be nothing to do with
  Ubuntu, but I am not sure.
