Title:
  Numerous bugs on 9.10->10.04 upgrade

Status in apt package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: apt

  Greetings!

  Upgrading 9.10->10.04 on 5 IBM blade servers resulted in numerous dependency bugs with lots of reboots required,
  freezes, and requests (from apt) to

  dpkg --configure -a
  run it with the --fix-missing option.

  In total took me about 2 days (imagine a happy owner of 1000 blades).
  Although the clean installation now seems error-free, I had lots of
  packages and config files I wanted to preserve rather that
  reinstall/reconfigure

  I am attaching 5 contents of /var/log/dist-upgrade created with tar
  cvzf b0* /var/log/dist-upgrade.

  Sergei
