  apt-cdrom lookups not giving any error messages

Status in apt package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: apt

  When I mount an Ubuntu packages cd into /cdrom and try to add it to
  sources list using "apt-cdrom add -d /cdrom -m -a" it lookups and
  doesn't give any error messages, no cpu activity no disc access
  activity. just idle

  I am using Lucid amd64 on a vbox appliance
