Title:
UNIX domain socket path name limit
Status in API for Unity scopes integration:
Fix Released
Status in unity-scopes-api package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
The path passed to bind() when creating a UNIX domain socket is
limited to about 107 characters or so (depending on exactly how much
will fit into a struct sockaddr_un. If the build dir is too deeply-
nested in the filesystem, calls to zmq throw with a "path too long"
exception).
In the eventually-deployed system, we'll have to make sure that we
have all the sockets close to the root of the FS tree, with short path
names for the directories leading there.
