Message #86655
[Bug 1465942] Re: Selecting written text in landscape mode causes app to crash
Root cause for this issue seems to be the "new" cursor. The blue tag which indicates the cursor's position isn't rotated.
The same applies for the pop-up window where you can select "cut, paste, etc.". It is still visualized in portrait view.
I managed to get a screenshot just before the crash (see attachement).
** Attachment added: "Screenshot of app just before crash."

Title:
Selecting written text in landscape mode causes app to crash
Status in messaging-app package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
You write a message into the text field. If you want to change it by
putting the marker into the text and mark a word or more, the dialog
appear to decide what to do. In landscape mode the messaging app
crashes immediately. In portrait mode everything works fine. The same
happens when you longpress into the text field so this dialog appears
without having any text yet.
