In fact it seems that the "group" feature is completely missing in the
app.

I can't manually create a group.

There is a "favourite" field but no way to add a contact in this sort of
group

Bug description:
  Any contacts listed under 'My Contacts' are automatically imported
  after signing into the account. Any contacts in groups will not be
  imported.

  Ubuntu 14.10 (r20) on the BQ E4.5 phone
