[Bug 1337262] Re: kmod should permit use of compressed modules

I know this isn't exactly urgent, but it is the world's simplest patch,
and is really quite useful if you are booting in an environment where
modules are on the boot disk.

Title:
kmod should permit use of compressed modules

Status in kmod package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
kmod should permit use of compressed modules. This enables images that
boot from RAM to be much smaller. In essence this requires only
changing a build option. Uncompressed modules are still supported.
