[Bug 579953] Re: Copying files from DVD too prone to errors in Gnome.
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to
look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many
changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem
may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if
you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version.

Title:
Copying files from DVD too prone to errors in Gnome.
Status in ubuntu-meta package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: ubuntu-desktop
Fundamentally, this problem belongs to Gnome, but cause Ubuntu and
Gnome are the same thing, I've decided to post here.
DVD copying is too sensitive to errors, most errors which overcome by
other programs (like KDE's and cp) do not do well with gnome; it gives
out an i/o error.
