[Bug 767142] Re: Resize handles spoil almost every application

I remember seeing this before. AFAICT it is fixed in at least 15.04.
Let me know (by reopening) if it actually isn't fixed.

Title:
Resize handles spoil almost every application

Status in ubuntu-meta package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
I'm using Natty in Classic mode with Clearlooks. The new overlaid
resize grip ruins the finish on about every single application I have.
Here's Terminator above Nautilus, above Liferea:

But it also hits Gwibber, Firefox... Basically anything without a
  lower status panel.

I also see similar gunk with other themes.

I'm struggling to see how backporting this from GTK3 (as I read) was
ever a desirable idea. Is there any chance this patch can be ripped
out and kicked into touch or is this something I'm going to to have to
  do for myself?
