Title:
Unable to turn screen back on after idle-time on Thinkpad Z60m
Status in ubuntu-meta package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
I've been running Ubuntu 9.04 32 bit (fresh install) since it came
out. In the last week or so (after updating the system after the
summer holiday), I've been having a problem with the power management
(at least that's where I think the problem is): when I leave the
computer idle for some time (I haven't measured it yet), the screen
goes blank, like always. But now, I am unable to turn the screen back
on, leaving me unable to use the computer. No ctrl+alt+del works, I
have to hold the power button to turn the system of, then on again.
I've tried disabling the screensaver, and turning off power saving
features (like blank screen after X minutes), but it doesn't help.
I've looked at bug #338051, but they seem to be able to regain control
of the system. I don't, at all.
On kernel 2.6.28-14-generic . Tell me what other information you need.
Thanks for your time!
