Public bug reported:

When clicking a message to expand that message, the message is still
truncated. This used to expand and show the complete message (several
month ago).

It seems that expanding now does little more than display the field for
replying.

This is not of much use being able to reply to a message I haven't read;
if it's a case of saving space, it would be more practical to display
the full message and no reply box.

Number of times I've expanded a message and wanted to reply without reading the full message: exactly 0.
Number of times I've wanted to quickly read the full message and not reply: probably around 50%.

Given that the message can be contracted again with another tap, I see
little reason not to display the full message when expanding, it seemed
to work well before.
