  wait-for-root slows boot

Status in initramfs-tools package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  As shown in the bootchart, wait-for-root takes nearly 30 seconds of
  the boot time. There are no LUKS, LVM or mdadm volumes for it to
  mount.
