Message #94330
[Bug 1458391] Re: [messaging] MMS attachment process unclear
** Also affects: gallery-app (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
** Summary changed:
- [messaging] MMS attachment process unclear
+ [gallery-app] MMS attachment process unclear
** Description changed:
- Aquaris 4.5. revision 22. When selecting a picture to send (from the Gallery) a dialog opens with the image and a tick in the top right.
+ Aquaris 4.5. revision 22. When selecting a picture to send (from the Gallery) a dialog opens with the image and a tick in the top right.
The behaviour I expect at that point is a question or implied question "Is this the image you want to send ?" With that assumption, click on the tick to say "yes" - but that turns it to a cross. So "yes" becomes "no". The behaviour I would expect could be achieved by a question "Send this?" with an empty box. Click on the box and either a tick or a cross appears in the box, to show a "Yes, please send." Much easier would be no tick, no box, no cross - just a button marked 'Attach' and a button marked 'Cancel'.
The sent message does not give any feedback that an image has been
selected or successfully sent. Only the text is visible. Expected
behaviour would be that the sent message shows a thumbnail image of the
picture sent - or at least something like [image] in italics showing
that a picture of some sort was sent.

+ The issue is that this is not handled by the messaging app and needs to
