[Bug 1486630] Re: sshd does not wake up phone

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better.

I have noticed that on my phone (bq Aquaris 4.5) sshd does respond but
is noticeably sluggish when the screen is off. I presume this is due to
power management setting the CPU speed low or something. You don't
mention what phone you are using. Perhaps the power management handling
is different on yours?

I don't think this can be fixed in openssh as all it does is listen on a
socket, which is the reasonable thing for it to do. Reassigning to
powerd in the hope that it's closer to the mark.

** Package changed: openssh (Ubuntu) => powerd (Ubuntu)

Title:
sshd does not wake up phone

Status in powerd package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
When I open an ssh connection to my phone while the screen is off, it
does not connect nor wake up the phone.

As ssh is running in background, it should answer and connect, even if
  the screen is off.

Going the screen "on" is not necessary.
