Title:
launcher exhibits nonsense behavior; changing window focus eventually
  fixes it

Status in Unity:
  Invalid
Status in unity package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
Suddenly the launcher stopped showing up (it wouldn't show up when moving the cursor all the way to the left of the screen). The focused window was Google Chrome at that time.
After clicking somewhere and then somewhere else, the launcher started to show up again but seemed to go berserk: everytime I would move the cursor to the left of the screen, the launcher would show up but immediately hide again, no matter what, even though I kept the cursor over it, and none of its icons responded to clicks.

Then I minimised Chrome, give focus to some other window, and then
back to chrome and maximised it again (I don't remember exactly, I did
random things), and the launcher started behaving normally again.
