Re: Trafodion Development Changes Coming

We will also be migrating Issues and Blueprints from LaunchPad to the Apache JIRA http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TRAFODION at the same time. We will need to make our LaunchPad project read-only in order to do the migration. Please do the following :

* If you have not done so, please sign up for a JIRA account @ https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/Dashboard.jspa.
* If you have submitted LaunchPad bugs, commented on LaunchPad bugs, or submitted a LaunchPad Blueprint please send me your JIRA username so your contributions can be mapped in JIRA. If I do not get your JIRA username your contributions will be mapped to the Apache Trafodion user in JIRA.
* If there are bugs/blueprints that need updating please finish updating them by the middle of next week. Once we migrate you will need to update the bugs/blueprints in JIRA

I will send another message before we make our LaunchPad project read-only.

Cheers,
Alice

Subject: Trafodion Development Changes Coming

Trafodion Developers,

Now that Trafodion has been accepted into the Apache Incubator, we are working to move to the Apache model of development. One of the first big hurdles is migrating our code to be mastered in Apache. The restrictions on those repositories necessitate changes in our development process and tools. More information will be coming very soon on details of the new process.

We are jumping in with both feet, and aim to migrate our code very soon. The current outlook is for the end of next week (June 12).

You can certainly continue work in local git workspaces through the transition. Please finish up the open code reviews in gerrit (review.trafodion.org) by middle of next week. Any changes not merged before the switch-over will need to be submitted in the new process.

-Steve
