Re: [Question #155914]: indexing fails

Question #155914 on The Search Engine Project changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/tsep/+question/155914

    Status: Answered => Open

chris brown is still having a problem:

downloaded the index.php from the documentation installation page link
uploaded index.php to web root
entered http://www.corticaldata.com.au/index.php in web browser..

>> installing TSEP

Not Found

The requested URL /setup/ was not found on this server.

repeated this several times, with same result

went to cPanel file manager and deleted, then re-uploaded, and a
successful install.

>> Database Configuration
so how am I supposed to know what is the:
host, login, password, database and prefix?

If I had maybe thought to note these parameters down from a previous
(0.9) install from the cPanel installation setup maybe, or I could
delete the just installed installation, and install 0.0 again and grab
the relevant (presumptively the same) parameters, and repeat...

from the installation documentation:
<<
Installation
Installation is a simple process. There are three steps to installation:

	• Enter the Mysql Server Information
	• Enter the Table prefix and database name
	• Enter the Admin Password
>>

The documentation needs to be a bit more specific

So now it is not installed, index.php lists under Coda but I can't delete it
noth tsep lists under cPanel FileManager
but if I try and install an old version using Installatron , this:

! A test of the selected domain has failed (HTTP error: 200).

Installatron is unable to install on a domain that is not
resolving/loading to this web account.

If this is a new web hosting account, or if this is a newly registered
domain, please allow up to 24 hours for the domain to begin working
(though usually within a few hours).

If you're sure that the domain is correctly loading to your web account,
contact your web hosting administrator.

Technical Error:

I think the deleteme.fuuknoei.php indicates the situation and
perspective
