Paul Hicks gave more information on the question:
The installation set /app/tmp/cache and its two subdirectories to 0755 with all the files set to 0644.
I've tried changing the permissions of these subdirs to 0777 but the profile is still not being indexed.
I've tried changing the file permissions as well but the result is the same...
