Hi Michel,

The translations were not updated for the release candidate, but Evan
made a release (10) earlier today with the latest translations (and they
are really finely done). This will land in the final release and the
daily builds, or the latest slides can be viewed if you install
ubiquity-slideshow-ubuntu. (Just ask me directly if you want directions
on that).

Personally, I don't think the welcome text sounds like it is talking
about money. "Free" there is not just talking about downloading, but
about sharing, changing and studying, too!

Anyway, these sorts of discussions really belong on the mailing lists or
(at least) separate bug reports. This one has been dealt with for a long
time :)

Bug description:
The message to "explore while installing" in the Karmic Alpha 5 installer slideshow gives the impression that you should be able to use the system while it is installing.   This line should be changed or removed to avoid confusion.
