[Bug 538425] Re: Slideshow doesn't mention ipod support
I was thinking the same thing, Lightbreeze. MP3 player is an odd term to
use at this point. Just "iPod" sounds a bit ugly, too, though, mainly
because we aren't Apple and can't at all guarantee that the iPod brand
will work. Need a snappy way of saying "...a music player, like an
iPod,..."

Slideshow doesn't mention ipod support

Status in “ubiquity-slideshow-ubuntu” package in Ubuntu: New
Bug description:
Binary package hint: ubiquity
In the slide titled "Music and movies in Ubuntu" it reads:
"Plug in an MP3 player to start synchronizing your music collection, or insert a CD to copy its music to your computer."
The iPod brand is a household name and I believe it would be worth mentioning in the slideshow.
Also, http://google.com/trends?q=mp3+player,+mp3,+ipod suggests that many more people are familiar with 'iPod' rather than 'MP3 player'.
